International Monetary Fund. International Financial Statistics: Prices | Country: Canada | ID: PCPI_IX | Indicator: Consumer Price Index, All items, 1957/1 - 2017/1. Data-Planet™ Statistical Datasets by Conquest Systems, Inc. Dataset-ID: 056-015-012 Dataset: Reports consumer, producer, and other price indices. The index series are compiled from reported versions of national indices. There is a wide variation between countries and over time in the selection of base years, depending upon the availability of comprehensive benchmark data that permit an adequate review of weighting patterns. The series are linked by using ratio splicing at the first annual overlap, and the linked series are shifted to a common base period 2010=100. The database covers approximately 32,000 time series covering more than 194 countries and areas starting in 1948. Topics covered include balance of payments, commodity prices, exchange rates, fund position, government finance, industrial production, interest rates, international investment position, international liquidity, international transactions, labor statistics, money and banking, national accounts, population, prices, and real effective exchange rates.
