[Italiano]: Il volume presentato è incentrato sull’“idrofemminismo”, paradigma filosofico teorizzato dalla scrittrice canadese Astrida Neimanis (2017), lecturer presso il Dipartimento di Studi Culturali e di Genere dell’Università di Sydney: fondandosi su diversiquadri teorici, quali l’écriture feminine di Hélène Cixous e Luce Irigaray, la fenomenologia di Merleau-Ponty e la rizomatica diDeleuze e Guattari, tale paradigma presenta una nozione ecologicamente impegnata dell’‘incorporazione’, che l’autrice analizza da una prospettiva ‘acquea’, mostrando come una nuova concezione dei corpi possa cambiare il nostro atteggiamento verso leacque della Terra. Oltre ad esplorandone in dettaglio le principali caratteristiche, spiegandone la rilevanza negli odierni dibattiti sul nuovo materialismo, il post-umanesimo e le environmental humanities, Antonella De Vita ne ‘traduce’ l’interesse per i lettori italiani, non solo presentando la traduzione dell’introduzione di Bodies of Water. Posthuman Feminist Phenomenology (2017), ma anche illustrando come la figurazione dei ‘corpi d’acqua’ possa trasporsi nel linguaggio dell’arte visuale e della performancefemminili, dedicando estrema attenzione ad artiste di fama sia mediterranea che internazionale. /[English]: This volume deals with “hydrofeminism”, formulated by the Canadian writer Astrida Neimanis (2017), lecturer in the Department of Gender and Cultural Studies at the University of Sydney: relying on several theoretical backgrounds, such as Hélène Cixous’ and Luce Irigaray’s écriture feminine, Merleau- Ponty’s phenomenology and Deleuze and Guattari’s rhizomatics, this new philosophical paradigm presents an ecologically-engaged notion of ‘embodiment’, which Neimanis analyses from a ‘watery’ perspective, showing how a new understanding of bodies can change our attitude towards the waters of our Earth.Antonella De Vita ‘translates’ this interest for the Italian readership: after exploring in detail the main features of hydrofeminismand explaining their relevance in the context of current debates on new materialism, post-humanism and environmentalhumanities, the author presents her translation of the introduction of Bodies of Water. Posthuman Feminist Phenomenology (2017), and ‘translates’ Neimanis’ figuration of ‘bodies of water’ into the language of women’s visual art and performance, devotingkeen attention both to international and to Mediterranean artists.
