Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Echinoderes goku sp. nov. is described from samples collected on the Argentinian continental shelf. Three sets of files show stacks of light microscopical DIC images and images taken by SEM of this species and are available here. Overview images were photographed with an objective Zeiss Plan-Apochromat 20x/0.60 (PA20x) and occasionally a Zeiss Plan-Neofluar 40x/1.30 Oil (PN40x_1.30) or a Zeiss Plan-Apochromat 63x/1.40 DIC Oil (PA63x). Stacks of images of several segments (s) were taken with an objective Zeiss Plan-Apochromat 100x/1.40 Oil (PA100x) from the dorsal (d), ventral (v), left (le), and right (ri) side (or combinations thereof) at an interval of 300 nm with 2,584 x 1,936 pixels. They were stored with a colour depth of 48 bit RGB at a resolution of 150 dpi as uncompressed TIF files and resulted in 290 folders with 6,810 files and 174 GB of data. Metadata (meta) are provided as XML files. A stage micrometer was photographed with the four objectives mentioned above; the distance between two bars equals 10 µm. SEM images were taken with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels at a resolution of 72 dpi and stored with a grey depth of both 8 bit (with image metadata) and 16 bit (for technical reasons without image metadata) as uncompressed TIF files, altogether 204 files with 917 MB of data. The magnification is noted at the end of the file name. Metadata of the 8 bit files include scale in micrometers, magnification as 1,000x (Mag K), voltage of the beam (EHT), working distance (WD), photo number (Photo No.), and date. Usually, noise reduction at the SEM was done in the mode "pixel averaging", but various amounts of "line integration" (LineInteg) were applied, if charging of a specimen occurred. Last not least, best results were obtained in those cases with pixel averaging after sputtering the specimens again. Additional set of files "MACN_CollectionInvertebrates_DIC": Overview DIC images and stacks of DIC images of several segments of holotype MACN-In 4375 and paratypes MACN-In 43756 a–43756c of Echinoderes goku sp. nov. (Kinorhyncha) from Argentina. Additional set of files "MfN_ZMB_CollectionVermes_DIC": Overview DIC images and stacks of DIC images of several segments of paratypes ZMB "Vermes" 12262, 12264, 12265, 12314–12331, and 12334–12344 and non-types ZMB "Vermes" 12263, 12266, 12332, 12333, 12267–12269, and 12345–12347 of Echinoderes goku sp. nov. (Kinorhyncha) from Argentina. Additional set of files "MfN_ZMB_CollectionVermes_SEM": Overview and detailed SEM images of several segments from dorsal, lateral, and ventral side if available, non-types ZMB "Vermes" 12270–12272 and 12348–12351 of Echinoderes goku sp. nov. (Kinorhyncha) from Argentina. Images published in this article are listed separately. For more information refer to: Rucci, K., Neuhaus, B. & Bulnes, V.N. 2021. Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
