Signatures/ Inscriptions: Signed by William Dowling; left hand side: measurements annotations and ‘The little Flower’s meeting with Pope Leo XIII’; bottom left hand side: Scale 3/4”=1’; right hand side: numbering 1-9 from the bottom up; bottom right hand side: ‘Clarke Studios Dublin’. Materials: Pen and ink, pencil, watercolour and gouache on thin light weight card cut and adhered overall to mount board with off-white coloured facing paper.
