Abstract
Novel homopolymers and copolymers containing 2<i>H</i>-benzimidazol-2-one units have been synthesized by N–C\ncoupling\nreactions of 1<i>H</i>-benzo[<i>d</i>]imidazol-2(3<i>H</i>)-one and activated aromatic dihalides under conditions\nsimilar to those for the synthesis of poly(aryl ether)s and poly(benzimidazole\nsulfone)s. 1<i>H</i>-Benzo[<i>d</i>]imidazol-2(3<i>H</i>)-one behaved like a bisphenol in the polymerization reaction\nto afford, quantitatively, high molecular weight linear polymers with\ninherent viscosities (ηinh) ranging from 0.57 to\n1.31 dL/g. The polymers were soluble in various organic solvents,\nand transparent, flexible, and creasable films were cast from its\ndichloromethane-solution. The homopolymer had a remarkably high glass\ntransition temperature (<i>T</i>g 348 °C)\nand good thermal stability. Only 30 mol % (8.9 wt %) of the 2<i>H</i>-benzimidazol-2-one unit for the copolymer with 4,4′-biphenol\nwas required to raise the <i>T</i>g of commercial\npoly(aryl ether), Radel R-5000 from 220 to 269 °C.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
