Abstract
Op basis van de resultaten van het veldonderzoek kan gesteld worden dat het zuidelijke deel van het plangebied te nat zal zijn geweest voor bewoning. Het noordelijke deel lag hoger en was waarschijnlijk wel geschikt voor bewoning. De bodem in het plangebied is echter al voor meer dan driekwart vergraven tot in het gele zand (C-horizont) of tot in het keizand. Alleen bij boring 8 werd nog een restant, bestaande uit een BChorizont, van een podzolbodem aangetroffen. Archeologische vondsten of andere indicatoren zijn in geen van de boringen aangetroffen. Gezien de sterk vergraven bodem is de kans op intacte archeologische resten, en dan met name grondsporen, klein.
