Abstract
NRC-IMTI is currently engaged in the development of its strategic plan; a variety of data gathering activities have been undertaken in support of this planning effort. This document contains executive summaries of external scanning and analysis of the following: patent activities worldwide in manufacturing; trends in manufacturing related publishing worldwide; manufacturing R and D trends in Canada and the US; R and D trends in manufacturing worldwide; manufacturing technology roadmaps
