Abstract
L’objectif de la présente ligne directrice consiste à fournir une méthode permettant d’évaluer la performance des systèmes de résistance aux forces sismiques (SFRS) et de déterminer leurs coefficients de modification de force (RdRo). Cette méthode se fonde sur l’application d’analyses dynamiques non linéaires pour la quantification du comportement sismique des SFRS. Dans cette ligne directrice, les concepts sont illustrés au moyen d’un exemple de mur en porte-à-faux travaillant en cisaillement en bois lamellé-croisé. La ligne directrice peut être appliquée et mentionnée par renvoi par les proposants de nouveaux SFRS ayant des valeurs de RdRo définies aux fins d’inclusion dans le CNB; elle peut aussi être appliquée et/ou mentionnée par renvoi par les concepteurs et les autorités compétentes qui utilisent les SFRS comme solutions de rechange en conformité avec le code.
