Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Leptostylus guianensis Vlasak & Santos-Silva, 2021 (Fig. 2) Leptostylus guianensis Vlasak & Santos-Silva, 2021: 485; Monné, 2024: 108 (cat.). Remarks. Leptostylus LeConte, 1852 is a large genus of Acanthocinini including 92 species distributed from Canada to southern South America (Roguet 2024). Herein, we are recording a species recently described from South America, L. guianensis Vlasak & Santos-Silva, 2021 for Panama. Leptostylus guianensis was described based on males and females from French Guiana (Bezark 2024b; Monné 2024; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023). The new record suggests that the species occurs throughout the Amazon region. Material examined. PANAMA (new country record), Ngäbe-Buglé: Fortuna Cabins, 8.781°N 82.191°W, 1 female, 5-11.IX.2021, B.T. Raber leg. (DHCO)

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
