Pholetesor pedias (Nixon, 1973) Distribution in Iran. Iran (no locality cited) (Modarres Awal 1997 as Apanteles bicolor). Distribution outside Iran. Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, former Czechoslovakia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, New Zealand, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, UK, former Yugoslavia (Yu et al. 2012). Host records. Phyllonorycter comparella, a species mining the leaf of Populus alba and Populus nigra (Nixon 1973; Yu et al. 2012). In Europe it has been reported from Gnophos obscuraria, Ephestia elutella, Chelaria huebnerella, Chrysopora hermanella, Aspilapteryx tringipenella, Phyllonorycter junionella, Phyllonorycter cavella, Ph. lantanella, Ph. millierella, Ph. spinicolella, Plutella porrectella, Elachista taeniatella (Fahringer 1936; Yu et al. 2012). In Japan it has been reported from Orgyia thyellina and Euproctis similis (Watanabe 1937; Yu et al. 2012). Also, Yu et al. (2012) reported it from: Acanthopsyche atra, Aspilapteryx tringipennella, Caloptilia semifascia, Chrysoesthia hermannella, Elachista gleichenella, Eucosma aemulana, Gracillaria syringella, Leucoptera malifoliella, Lyonetia rajella, Melanchra persicariae, Parornix fagivora, Phyllonorycter acaciella, Ph. acerifoliella, Ph. agilella, Ph. blancardella, Ph. celtidella, Ph. connexella, Ph. corylifoliella, Ph. crataegella, Ph. cydoniella, Ph. emberizarpennella, Ph. froelichiella, Ph. harrisella, Ph. heegeriella, Ph. kleemannella, Ph. mespilella, Ph. nicellii, Ph. parisiella, Ph. pomifoliella, Ph. populifoliella, Ph. robiniella, Ph. sorbi, Ph. stettinensis, Ph. strigulatella, Ph. tenerella, Plutella porrectella, Psychoides verhuellellus, Stictopisthus formosus, Sympiesis gordius, Tischeria ekebladella, Trichiosoma betuleti.
