Abstract
Coccinella septempunctata Linné PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND: 34 specimens examined from Prince, Queens, and Kings counties (Table 1). The earliest record of this adventive, Palearctic species is from 1982 (Queens County: Charlottetown, 22 August 1982, NSMC). Newly recorded on Prince Edward Island. Gordon and Vandenberg (1991) report the many attempts to introduce this species to North America since 1956. Most proved unsuccessful. An established population (apparently as a result of an accidental introduction) was discovered in New Jersey in 1973 and since that time this species has colonized almost every state in the United States and every province in southern Canada.
