Abstract
Dinoderus minutus (Fabricius, 1775) NOVA SCOTIA: Halifax Co.: Halifax, 2.xi.1988, B. Wright, in apartment, (15), NSMC. An adventive species; possibly established in the region. Newly recorded in Nova Scotia and in the Maritime Provinces as a whole (Fig. 7). Cosmopolitan; possibly established in five states in the USA (Spillman 1982). In Canada reported from Ontario to British Columbia where it has been found in warehouses and places where bamboo products are stored (Bousquet 1990). Naturally breeds in dead bamboo in the tropics but also found in dried stored food in North America (Spillman 1982).
