Discourella modestasimilis Hiramatsu & Hirschmann 1979 Discourella modestasimilis Hiramatsu & Hirschmann 1979: 30. Material examined. Four females, USA, Virginia, Conte de Halifax, mixed woods along Brandon Creek, ca 8 km from SW of Turbeville, 18 March 1995, collected by R.L. Hoffmann. Four females, USA, Virginia, Floyd County, Buffalo Mountain, south slope at 1100m ex Berlese funnel, 29 December 2003, collected by R.L. Hoffman. Five females, USA, Virginia, Bland county, west side of Big Walker Mountain, 1500m, ca 6 km E of Sharon springs, northern hard-woods, 9 May. 1981, collected by R.L. Hoffman. Notes. This species was described from Canada, and it is now recorded from USA for the first time.
