Abstract
La dysphasie est une déficience langagière touchant plus de 5% des enfants au Québec. Quelques chercheurs se sont penchés sur les pratiques des parents et des enseignants travaillant avec les élèves dysphasiques dans le contexte d’intégration scolaire. Il y a peu de connaissances sur ce que les jeunes adultes dysphasiques deviennent après leur parcours scolaire obligatoire. Les objectifs de cette étude consistent à examiner les représentations de jeunes adultes dysphasiques quant à leur participation sociale et à préciser les obstacles et facilitateurs. Cinq jeunes ont participé à des entrevues semi-dirigées, dont les thèmes étaient en lien avec des dimensions du processus de production du handicap : communication, scolarité et travail. Il ressort que certains obstacles rencontrés lors du parcours scolaire se répètent dans le milieu du travail. Des recommandations pour favoriser la participation sociale ont émergé des propos recueillis.
