Abstract

La fonction de « Poète National », introduite en Belgique en 2014, est de créer un pont entre les communautés linguistiques du pays et de les rapprocher du point de vue culturel. Le pont symbolise à la fois un rapprochement et une différenciation, deux questions particulièrement complexes et sensibles dans une Belgique si fragmentée linguistiquement et culturellement. Si ce projet littéraire se situe en dehors du débat politique, il a l’ambition d’être aussi un instrument d’interaction et d’intégration sociales. Notre article a comme objectif de mettre en évidence comment les quatre premiers Poètes Nationaux, deux francophones (une Bruxelloise et un Wallon) et deux néerlandophones (un Brabançon et une Ouest-Flamande), qui écrivent respectivement en français ou en néerlandais, partagent de fait un cadre de référence historique, littéraire et linguistique commun. Dans les poésies de Charles Ducal, Laurence Vielle, Els Moors et Carl Norac, nous avons identifié des affinités thématiques et stylistiques qui nous permettent de les situer dans le cadre d’une littérature nationale belge.
