Il Value Investing: Valutazione di un paniere titoli nel settore delle energie rinnovabili

Abstract
In un contesto dove le informazioni diventano sempre più elevate e dove la possibilità di affacciarsi agli investimenti è agevolata, è di fondamentale importanza comprendere a pieno ed evidenziare alcune teorie e metodi di approccio, che possano guidare le persone nella determinazione del vero valore del proprio investimento. Gli obietti posti in questo elaborato sono quelli di comprendere i principi e le linee guida della filosofia d’investimento Value Investing, applicando le conoscenze acquisite in un contesto pratico, analizzando sei aziende nel settore delle energie rinnovabili e comprendendo un eventuale sottovalutazione o sopravvalutazione dei titoli. Facendo riferimento alla valutazione, si è deciso di prendere in considerazione il metodo finanziario per determinare il valore aziendale. L’obiettivo ultimo, che risponderà alla domanda di ricerca, è quello di definire se le azioni selezionate possano essere valide per un investimento. Le imprese esaminate per il comparto solare sono Canadian Solar, JinkoSolar e SunPower, Ortsed e Northland Power per quel che concerne l’energia eolica e PlugPower per le soluzioni ad idrogeno. La scelta delle aziende operanti in questo settore è dovuta alla maggiore sensibilità riguardo al cambiamento climatico, le relative conseguenze e le soluzioni energetiche che verranno maggiormente adottate nel futuro. Il grande potenziale di crescita del settore, a seguito dei diversi accordi internazionali a favore di una riduzione delle emissioni globali di CO2, spinge a visionare in maniera più dettagliata le imprese che producono energia da fonti rinnovabili. Questa tesi ha fatto emergere delle considerazioni pertinenti per i titoli citati e ha permesso di comprendere la difficoltà di eseguire un buon processo di valutazione del prezzo equo.
