Abstract
Dans un paysage où la philanthropie est souvent méconnue, sous-évaluée et sous-financée, un groupe démographique émerge en tant que force motrice du changement transformateur nécessaire dans le secteur : les femmes.Dans ce document, Global Philanthropic Canada explore le rôle vital des femmes à la tête du secteur philanthropique. Nous nous sommes entretenus avec six dirigeantes exceptionnelles au Canada, chacune apportant une expérience et une vision uniques quant aux rôles qu'elles occupent pour soutenir diverses causes – de l'environnement aux services sociaux, en passant par la culture et le renforcement des capacités, l'enseignement supérieur, les associations professionnelles, les arts et la culture, et la promotion de l'égalité des genres et de l'équité.
