Abstract
Durant els dos últims terços del segle xviii les terres de Lleida es convertiren en un important focus de migració i, en particular, de professionals de la construcció. Són nombrosos els temples parroquials que s’edificaren de nova planta en aquesta centúria, així com la mateixa Catedral Nova de Lleida. En aquest cas, ens centrem en l’arribada a Lleida del mestre Pere Celles, oriünd de Vidrà, un home amb una gran capacitat de treball i de superació professional, que es convertí en el mestre d’obres de la catedral lleidatana.
