<p>Geïnterviewde was platoon leider van een bataljon Afro-Amerikaanse soldaten die de avond voor Thanksgiving 1944 te horen kregen dat ze de volgende dag moesten gaan helpen op de Amerikaanse oorlogsbegraafplaats in Margraten, waar ze bij aankomst 300 bevroren Amerikaanse soldaten vonden. Twee en een halve week heeft de 960th Quarter Master Company geholpen de achterstand in te lopen.</p>
