Abstract
Physical activity is associated with positive mental health outcomes in adolescent populations (Dale et al., 2019). The COVID-19 pandemic was a period of high stress for this population. Physical activity may help in managing stress and decreasing the risk of psychopathology. The current study investigates a moderating effect of physical activity on the relationship between COVID-19-related stress and mental health outcomes (symptoms of anxiety and depression) among Canadian teenagers.
