Abstract
As the pandemic unfolded, Canada and other rich countries chose to aggressively procure vaccine supply, preventing the majority of the world's population from timely access to life-saving medicines. Canadian COVID-19 policy trajectories and justifications for them offer an important opportunity for examining issues of global governance and accountabilities in the face of inherently global issues. The objective of this study was to document the worldview portrayed by the Government of Canada and understand its connection to Canadian policy action around COVID-19 vaccine equity.
