Abstract
Sur fond de préoccupations croissantes au Canada en matière d’abordabilité du logement, des questions ont été soulevées au sujet de l’expérience des résidents temporaires sur le marché locatif canadien. Cette étude repose sur les données du Recensement de la population de 2021 pour déterminer si les étudiants étrangers et les travailleurs étrangers temporaires doivent composer avec des frais de location plus élevés que ceux de la population née au Canada (les non immigrants) et les immigrants de longue date (les personnes admises plus de cinq ans avant le dernier recensement). Elle permet également d’examiner les facteurs contribuant aux disparités dans les frais de location entre ces groupes.
