Ushbu maqolada O‘zbekiston tarixi fanining nazariy-uslubiy asoslarini ishlab chiqishda tarixiy manbaalarning o‘rni haqida fikir yuritildi. Ana shunday manbalardan biri XIX asrda yashagan Ahmad Donishning “Risola yohud Mang‘itlar xonadoni saltanatining qisqacha tarixi” asari hisoblanadi. Ushbu asarda nafaqat o‘z davrining voqealari, undan oldin sulola tarixi boshlanishidan to Amir Abdulahadxon hukmronligigacha bo‘lgan vaqtda Buxoroning siyosiy-ijtimoiy va iqtisodiy ahvoli haqida qimmatli ma’lumotlar bayon etilgan.
