China, Germany, Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Yemen, and Canada: AB, NB, NS, ON, QC, YT. USA: widespread outside of AK and HI. First record from Morocco. Habitat. Collected on the banks of a mountain river bordered by Pistacia lentiscus, Juniperus oxycedrus, Tetraclinis articulata and crossing a mixed forest dominated by Quercus suber, Pinus pinaster, and Pinus halepensis. A wide variety of shrubs and herbaceous plant species (Prunus lusitanica, Stachys fontqueri, Paeonia coriacea, Eryngium caespitiferum, Eryngium triquetrum, Digitalis laciniata, Ptilostemon rhiphaeus, Ruscus hypophyllum, Astragalus armatus, Merendera filifolia, Viola sp.) occupy the undergrowth.
