Abstract
Boztepe eteklerinde doğal bir liman görünümünde olan yerde kurulan halk arasında eski adı Kotyora, yeni adı Ordu olan şehrin adı ve bu adların tarihi alt yapısının irdeleneceği Kotyora’dan Ordu’ya adlı araştırma, Ordu ilinin tarihine ışık tutması, yanlış bilinen bilgilerin ortaya konulmasını sağlayacaktır. Kotyora’dan Ordu’ya adlı bu araştırmada google form üzerinden elde edilen anket sorularının ve doküman analizine ilişkin verilerin kullanıldığı nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma adını verdiğimiz araştılamalarda araştırmacı gözlem, görüşme notları ve doküman analizi gibi veri toplama teknikleri kullanarak araştırma yapar. Kotyora’dan Ordu’ya adlı bu araştırmanın amacı, şehrin geçmişten günümüze var olan isimlerinin tarihi alt yapısını ortaya koymak, okuyucularda araştırma kültürünü geliştirmek ve milli duyguları geliştirmektir.
