Abstract
Ce projet de recherche vise à étudier et archiver le patrimoine distinctif des communautés d’immigrants belges et français dans les Prairies de l’ouest du Canada en rassemblant des images des sites géographiques associés aux immigrants français et belges dans l’ouest du Canada et des informations biographiques, historiques et culturelles pertinentes liées à des lieux spécifiques. L’objectif de ce projet est de s’assurer que la mémoire historique, littéraire et culturelle des immigrants français et belges liée aux lieux géographiques est conservée et accessible au public. Un schéma de métadonnées décrivant les noms de personnes, les informations biographiques, les lieux géographiques et les collections d’archives a été développé pour la description des données uniques à créer, conserver et rendre publiques.
