Abstract
Bombus (Bombus) lucorum (LINNAEUS 1761) Abb. von 3 und ♀ bei HAGENS 1988: 145. Transpaläarktisch, in Finnland bis N69 °, in Südeuropa vom Kantabrischen Gebirge, Pyrenäen, Apennin, Balkan und griechische Gebirge, quer durch Asien, südlich bis Pakistan, Nord-Indien, Tibet, Nord-Burma, bis zum Pazifik, einschliesslich Sachalin und Kamtschatka. Die Angaben von Bombus lucorum für die Nearktis bei HURD, von Alaska, Yukon, Northwest Territories, British Columbia und Alberta dürften sich auf B. cryptarum (FABRICIUS 1775) beziehen. " Bombus lucorum s.l. ist indigen im Westen Nordamerikas. Da der B. lucorum -Komplex wenig verstanden ist, besonders in Asien, ist der Status der nordamerikanischen Populationen nicht abschliessend geklärt. Erste genetische Untersuchungen der mitochondrialen COI weisen jedoch darauf hin, dass die nordamerikanische Population zu B. cryptarum gehört. Damit wäre diese Art nahezu circumpolar verbreitet" (Williams, brieflich).
