Collected from berlese extraction of oak-pine forest and mixed pine forest leaf litter at elevations ranging from 2700–2850m. Derivation of specific name. Through their support of the Nature Discovery Fund at the Canadian Museum of Nature, this species is named after Gisèle St-Germain of Montreal, Québec, Canada, as a gift from the Lalanne family. Material examined. 2♂, 3♀♀ (CMNC, MZLU). Holotype ♂ (MZLU): MÉXICO: Oaxaca. 75 km N. Oaxaca City, Hwy 175, 2700m., 4.IX.1990, leg. R. Baranowski / Sifting litter, small meadow in pine-oak forest / HOLOTYPE ♂, Theognete giselae sp. nov., R.S. Anderson. Aedeagus extracted. Paratypes: MÉXICO. Oaxaca. Valle Nacional (66 km. S), 2800m, 2.X.1990, R. Baranowski, sifting litter in mixed pine forest (1♀ CMNC). Valle Nacional (84 km. S.), 2850m, 4.IX.1990, R. Baranowski, sifting litter pine-oak boreal forest (1♀ CMNC). Oaxaca (75 km. N., Hwy. 175), 2700m, 4.IX.1990, R. Baranowski, sifting litter small meadow in pine-oak forest (1♀ MZLU). Oaxaca (80 km. N), 2900m, 8.IX.1994, R. Baranowski, sifting litter mixed pine forest (1♂ CMNC). Chorological relationships. Sympatric with T. bothynometopon, T. weiri and T. baranowskii.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
