Rudbeckia laciniata Linnaeus 1753
Bibliographic record
Abstract
Rudbeckia laciniata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 906. 1753. "Habitat in Virginia, Canada." RCN: 6550. Type not designated. Original material: [icon] in Cornut, Canad. Pl. Hist.: 178, 179. 1635; [icon] in Morison, Pl. Hist. Univ. 3: 22, s. 6, t. 6, f. 53, 54. 1699. Generitype of Rudbeckia Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 183. 1929). Current name: Rudbeckia laciniata L. (Asteraceae). Note: Rudbeckia hirta L. was treated as the generitype by Britton & Brown (Ill. Fl. N. U. S., ed. 2, 3: 469. 1913; see McNeill & al. in Taxon 36: 382. 1987). However, under Art. 10.5, Ex. 7 (a voted example) of the Vienna Code, this is a type choice made under the American Code and is to be replaced under Art. 10.5b by Green’s choice (Prop. Brit. Bot.: 183. 1929) of R. laciniata L. Fernald & Schubert (in Rhodora 50: 171. 1948) referred to a "photograph of the TYPE" but did not indicate which of the possible collections in London (Clifford, Clayton or LINN) it might be. Jarvis & al. (Regnum Veg. 127: 83. 1993) erroneously attributed typification to Fernald & Schubert.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
