CANADIAN: Polarized neutron reflectometery of MnGe thin film in in-plane magnetic fields
Bibliographic record
Abstract
MnGe is a chiral magnetic material that potentially possesses multiple interesting topological states. Although the cubic B20 phase is not thermodynamically stable in bulk form, single orientation films can be grown on Si substrates. The in-plane magnetic phase diagram is not fully understood. We proposed to use polarized neutron reflectometery to measure the magnetic structure of high-quality MnGe films grown by molecular beam epitaxy on Si(111) substrates to reveal the structure of an unidentified phase in a pocket near the magnetic ordering temperature, which may correspond to 2-dimensional topological structures known as skyrmions. We will investigate how finite size effects affect the competition between helicoids and skyrmions and potentially find evidence for a novel chiral interaction predicted to exist in MnGe.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one teacher head, not a consensus.
