Bibliographic record
Abstract
Georeferenced hydrographic chart surveyed by Capt. G.H. Richards, the officers of the H.M.S. Plumper and engraved by J. & C. Walker, this map shows the islands surrounding Haro Strait and Middle Channel in British Columbia. Detailed relief shading, sketches, and notes show the land cover and land forms. Many places and features are named along with soundings in fathoms in the bodies of water. The islands shown include San Juan, Shaw Island, Orcas Island, Waldron Island, Saturna Island, Mayne Island, Pender Island, Prevost Island, Admiral Island, Stuart Island, Moresby Island, Portland Island, Coal Island, Pier Island, Spieden Island, and part of Vancouver Island. Vancouver Island is labeled with the different land districts including Victoria, Lake, Highland, South Saanich, North Saanich, and Esquimalt. The channels, inlets, harbours, bays, and sounds are labeled and include False Bay, Douglas Channel, Swanson Channel, and Saanich Inlet among many others. Several areas are highlighted in red and some were Reserves while others were referred to as Indian Village. The Reserves shown are Chautlip Indians [Tsartlip Nation: South Saanich 1, Senanus Island 10 and Mayne Island 6]; Saikum Indians [Tseycum Nation: Union Bay 4 Reserve]; Indian Reserve [Esquimalt Nation Reserve]; Quw'utsun/Cowichan Tribes: part of Cowichan 1; Tsawout Nation: Saturna Island 7; Songhees Nation: Chatham Island 4 and Discovery Islands 3; Beecher Bay Nation: Village Island 7, Whale Island 8 and Long Neck Island 9.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
