Une analyse cartographique de l'arrondissement Ahuntsic-Cartierville a permis de dénombrer 1 916 potagers individuels, dont 11 serres, cumulant une superficie totale cultivable de 36 145 m² (3,6ha). La superficie moyenne des jardins cartographiés est de 19 m², avec une médiane de 10 m². Le jardin le plus grand à avoir été identifié est de 130 m², et le plus petit est de 1 m².
