Abstract
A search for a charged Higgs boson, ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$, decaying to a ${W}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ boson and a $Z$ boson is presented. The search is based on $20.3\text{ }\text{ }{\mathrm{fb}}^{\ensuremath{-}1}$ of proton-proton collision data at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ boson is assumed to be produced via vector-boson fusion and the decays ${W}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}\ensuremath{\rightarrow}q\overline{{q}^{\ensuremath{'}}}$ and $Z\ensuremath{\rightarrow}{e}^{+}{e}^{\ensuremath{-}}/{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{+}{\ensuremath{\mu}}^{\ensuremath{-}}$ are considered. The search is performed in a range of charged Higgs boson masses from 200 to 1000 GeV. No evidence for the production of an ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ boson is observed. Upper limits of 31--1020 fb at 95% C.L. are placed on the cross section for vector-boson fusion production of an ${H}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}$ boson times its branching fraction to ${W}^{\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}}Z$. The limits are compared with predictions from the Georgi-Machacek Higgs triplet model.

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
