Abstract
Each isotherm is obtained from three expenments. Polymer adsorbed did not vary after 6 hrs. Therefore the arnount of polymer adsorbed at 6 hrs was assurned to be the equilibrium concentration. The value of T is obtained by dividing the amount of polymer adsorbed by the weight of lipid (L) in mg taken as basis. The value of T(ug/mg) is defined at a given (P), and Mw is the ratio of the total surface area (TASP) (based on L = 0.705 mg) to the totai number of moles of polymer available for coverage (equation [4.9]). The area of the polyelectrolyre was assumed to be that of a rectangle of width rv = 1.5 nm. The calculated values have been joined by a smooth line.
