Emma Crosby, Port Simpson, to Susie McKay, 83 Cyan(?) Street, Toronto. Discusses the visit of Martha Cartmell from the Woman's Missionary Society (WMS), and relates their conversations regarding the future of the girls' home. This includes details about the WMS' seeming lack of interest in the "Indian work," and control issues between the Crosbys and some of the girls' home staff. Reflects on the need for a clear understanding about Mr. Crosby's relation to the endeavour. Inquires about any major policy changes within the WMS.
