Abstract
<p>Scheepstypen: onbekend en koggen, respectievelijk. Bij de aanleg van het Barbizon Palace Hotel in 1985 werd een scheepswerf uit de tweede helft van de 14e eeuw opgegraven. Vermoedelijk bij de bouw van een parkeergarage bij het hotel in 1994 werden scheepsresten gevonden, die door het Centrum voor Scheepsarcheologie een jaar later zijn gedocumenteerd (o.a. een steven, deel van een roer, een wrang). <br>In 1988 werd een terrein onderzocht ten westen van het Victoria Hotel, waar een aantal panden gesloopt was. Direct onder het puin kwamen de plattegronden van verschillende middeleeuwse huizen, nog geheel intact met funderingen, vloeren en zelfs opgaand werk zoals schouwpartijen, te voorschijn. Interessant was de uitvoering en indeling van deze huizen, want ze bleken gefundeerd te zijn op afgedankt scheepshout uit de middeleeuwen. Tenminste vijf hergebruikte scheepsroeren van koggen zijn in 1995 moment door het Centrum voor Scheepsarcheologie gedocumenteerd.</p>
