Abstract
Tijdens de zomer van 2020 ontdekte de auteur een verhoogd vierkant in de uiterwaarden van de Maas, een restant van een redoute uit de circumvallatielinie van het beleg van Grave in 1602 door Maurits van Nassau. Grave, een van de meest belegerde steden van Nederland, werd toen omringd door een linie met schansen en redoutes. Met behulp van een kaart van Baptista, het dagboek van Anthony Duyck, veldonderzoek, AHN3 en satellietbeelden is de linie in kaart gebracht. Van de 27 structuren zijn 12 redoutes en twee schansen teruggevonden. De bevindingen zijn samengevat in het boek "Reconstructie van een linie".
