Her Honour discusses the meaning of access to justice, alluding to the difficulties which many individuals face in obtaining legal representation. These difficulties have arisen due to the rising costs of litigation and cuts to legal aid funding. Her Honour compares Australia’s progress in the pro bono sector with pro bono developments in the United States of America and Canada.
