The data set consists of five distinct elements. The first element is a text in .docx format (Word software) corresponding to the four translations of the online survey ('Lost in Wilderness') associated with the article by Zeller et al. (2025) published in People and Nature. The second element is a table in .csv format (Excel software) corresponding to the database associated with this article. The third element is a table in .csv format (Excel software) corresponding to the classification of the animals used in the survey associated with this article. The fourth element is a code in .RMD format (R and R-studio softwares) corresponding to the script used to analyze the database. The fifth element is a text in .txt format with further explanations regarding the files, notably the variables of the database.
