This report presents an overview of several aspects of the engineering properties of firstyear sea ice ridges. The report focuses on first-year ridges in temperate climates, and is sub-divided into 4 main sections that deal with the following aspects of ridges: Morphology of ridges; Physical and mechanical properties of ridges; Measured ridge loads on offshore structures; Methods for predicting ridge loads
