Andersen (MIZA, slide mounted in Canada balsam). Diagnostic characters: The male imago can be separated from other members of the genus by having a few apical setae on the wing membrane; anal point short, tapering, with weak lateral setae; inferior volsella relatively low with anterior bare, digitiform projection; and megaseta not dentate. Etymology: Named in honour of the botanist Henry Pittier, who was instrumental in setting up the National Park where the material was collected. Male (n=1). Total length 1.63 mm. Wing length 0.93 mm. Total length / wing length 1.77. Coloration brown, thorax dark brown, tarsi of all legs light brown. Head. AR 0.56, ultimate flagellomere 192 m. Temporal setae 6, including 3 inner verticals, 1 outer vertical and 2 postorbitals. Clypeus with 10 setae. Tentorium, stipes and cibarial pump as in Fig. 20 A; tentorium 92 m long, 7 m wide at sieve pore; stipes 59 m long. Palpomere lengths in m: 12, 26, 48, 51, 72. Third palpomere with 3 sensilla clavata subapically, longest 12 m long. Thorax (Fig. 20 B). Antepronotum with 2 setae. Dorsocentrals 8; acrostichals 7, all scalpellate in the middle of scutum; prealars 2; supraalar 1. Scutellum with 2 setae. Wing (Fig. 20 C). VR 1.45. Costal extension 105 m long. Brachiolum with 1 seta, M1+2 with 14 setae, R with 3 setae, R4+5 with 1 seta apically, other veins bare. Wing membrane with 21 setae in cell r4+5, 6 setae in m1+2. Squama with 5 setae. Legs. Front legs lost. Spurs of middle tibia 25 m and 21 m long, of hind tibia 34 m and 21 m long. Width at apex of middle tibia 18 m, of hind tibia 28 m. Hind tibial comb with 7 setae, shortest seta 17 m long, longest seta 23 m long. Lengths (in m) and proportions of legs as in Table 16. m) and proportions of legs of Compterosmittia pittieri new species. Hypopygium (Fig. 20 D–F). Anal point 29 m long, 34 m wide at base, with 7 strong lateral setae, void of microtrichia except at base. Laterosternite IX with 7 setae. Phallapodeme 41 m long. Transverse sternapodeme nearly straight with rounded oral projections, 61 m long. Virga absent. Gonocoxite 131 m long, with long, low inferior volsella, with rounded projection orally. Gonostylus 65 m long, megaseta 4 m long. HR 2.02, HV 2.51.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; both teacher heads agree on what is shown here.
