Abstract
93. Theognete grimblyae Anderson, new species (Figures 297, 306, 315) Diagnosis. Size. Length, male, 2.94–3.20mm; female, 2.68–3.55mm. Width, male, 1.70–1.79mm; female, 1.62–2.04mm. As for T. hesmos but pronotum less strongly cordate, without trace of median carina or swelling. Elytra with scales suberect to erect, fine, simple, slightly recurved at apex. Aedeagus as in Fig. 306. Geographical distribution. México (Querétaro). Natural history. Collected from berlese extraction of cloud forest leaf litter at elevations ranging from 1620–1790m. Derivation of specific name. Through his support of the Nature Discovery Fund at the Canadian Museum of Nature, named after Susan Grimbly of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, as a gift from Ian Pearson.
