Hairs on dorsum of head and mesopleuron dense and about 0.7 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; hairs on mesonotum extreme dense and about 0.5 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; abdominal tergites densely pubescent; mesoscutellar appendage and intertergites of abdomen glabrous. Anterior margin of clypeus almost truncate; malar space 0.4 times as long as diameter of median ocellus; distance between eyes at level of anterior tentorial pits 1.1 times as long as longest axis of eye (Fig. 2 e); middle fovea round, very deep, closed; frons small and flat, frontal ridge indistinct; POL: OOL: OCL = 13: 26: 28; interocellar furrow deep and broad, postocellar furrow broad and shallow, hardly bent forward; postocellar area roundly elevated, about 1.7 times as broad as long; lateral furrow deep, hardly curved, weakly divergent backwards; head slightly and roundly dilated behind eyes in dorsal view (Fig. 2b). Antenna about 0.8 times as long as head and thorax together, distinctly incrassated beyond middle, 5th –9th antennomeres with indistinct longitudinal furrow in both sides, third antennomere about 1.2 times as long as following two antennomeres together, seventh antennomere about 1.3 times as long as broad (Fig. 3 f). Mesoscutellar appendage flat, without middle carina; cenchrus subtriangular, much broader than long, CD = 2.0. Venation as Fig. 1 c, anal cross vein absent; petiole of hind anal cell about 0.4 times length of cu-a. Ovipositor sheath 1.2 times as long as front tibia, apical sheath as long as basal sheath, roundly tapering toward apex in lateral view (Fig. 2 n); sheath and setae in dorsal view as Fig. 2 k, sheath distinctly broadened toward apex. about 3.5 times as broad as breadth of cercus; cercus slender, about 4 times as long as broad. Lancet as Fig. 4 b, with 15 serrulae, middle and apical segments as Figs 4 h, 4e, annular spines absent; surface sculpture of lancet as Fig. 4 l. Male. Body length 16.5 mm (Fig. 1 e); color, punctation and structure similar to female except for following: malar space 0.5 times as long as diameter of median ocellus (Fig. 2 h); distance between eyes at level of anterior tentorial pits 1.2 times as long as longest axis of eye; head distinctly narrowed behind eyes in dorsal view; subgenital plate broader than long, apical margin roundish with a very shallow and narrow middle incision; harpes about 2 times as long as broad (Fig. 5 b); volsella and gonolacinia as Figs 5 f–g; penis valve as Figs m–o. Variation. The basal anal cross vein is present in the right wing of a specimen collected from Hubei, China. The petiole of hind anal cell is about 0.2 times length of cu-a in one femalehttp://www.morphbank.net/?id=850767. Types. Holotype: ♀: “MUSEUM PARIS, THIBET Mou-Pin, A. China (Sichuan, Hubei, Yunnan); India (Meghalaya); Laos (Haris 2014); Nepal (Gandaki); Thailand (Chiang Mai) (Fig. 6). This species is recorded from Nepal and Thailand for the first time. Remarks. The redescription of the species is based on the holotype kept in MNHN. The pictures of the female lancet were taken from a female collected from Hubei, China, which was compared in detail with the holotype. No distinct difference has been found between them including genitalia characters. C. rufidorsata is close to C. zhongi sp. nov. See the above key for the differences between the two species. Among the three species of Colochela, C. rufidorsata has the weakest body sculpture and punctation. Malaise (1937) stated in the original description of Colochela that the anal cell in forewing is with a short and perpendicular cross-vein at basal third. The examination of the holotype in MNHN (Paris) revealed that the anal cell in forewing of C. rufidorsata is without a cross-vein (Fig. 1 c). The female paratype of C. rufidorsata kept in USNM (Washington D. C.) does have a short anal cross-vein in both forewings (Figs 1 h–j) but the specimen is a female of C. zhongi sp. nov. We examined the male paratype of C. rufidorsata kept in USNM but overlooked the state of the basal anal cross-vein, so we do not sure whether the forewing of the male has basal anal cross-vein or not. In CNCI, a male specimen collected from Nepal during the Canadian Nepal expedition in 1967 refers to C. rufidorsata Malaise. The abdominal tergites are not microsculptured and are strongly shiny. The data of the specimen is: Nepal, Ktmd [Katmandu], Godavari, 5000’ [about 1,600 m], 31.VII.1967, Can. Nepal Exped. (Dr. H. Goulet, personal communication).

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
