Le secteur agricole contribue largement à l’économie nationale. La question de son financement n’est pas encore résolue tant au niveau national que local. Malgré les potentiels agricole et financier qui existent, les réticences sont encore énormes quant à l’implication de différents acteurs financiers tant publics que privés de sorte que le grand problème auquel sont confrontés les producteurs agricoles dans la région de Beni – Butembo est le non-accès au financement. Ainsi, face à une demande agricole croissante, une offre publique de financement en formation diminution et une frilosité de l’offre privée, des efforts devraient être fournis pour améliorer la contribution de la microfinance au financement des agricultures familiales.
