Abstract
Dans l’est d’Hochelaga-Maisonneuve, à Montréal, se déploie un grand terrain vague formé de friches industrielles et d’espaces boisés. Approprié par les promoteurs industriels, revendiqué par les populations locales et habité par des personnes marginalisées, il forme un espace liminaire où se manifestent les tensions entre les conceptions capitalistes du développement urbain et les aspirations politiques et communautaires des habitant·es. Conçu comme une rencontre de recherche engagée, ce colloque vise à approfondir la compréhension des multiples dimensions de « ce qui se joue » au terrain vague. Cherchant à joindre la sociologie critique du capitalisme au tournant ontologique en anthropologie, notre objectif est de multiplier les analyses et les angles d’approches afin de mieux appréhender les mondes du terrain vague.
