Abstract
Figure 4-3 is a plot of R, as a function of the rnolecular weight of CMC obtained from Debye plots. Sizes range from 100 - 185 run for 5.00 x 1 O" and 5.99 x IO' molecular weight polymers. The relationship between the variation of R, and M,. is not clear except for polymers a and a', which have the same degree of substitution.
