Abstract
En las sociedades organizadas, los hombres realizan una diversa gama de actividades económicas, con el fin de satisfacer sus necesidades colectivas e individuales. Estas necesidades son diferentes en cantidad y calidad, pudiendo ser primarias o biológicas (alimentación, vivienda, vestimenta) y secundarias o sociales (transporte, comunicación, entretenimiento). Por intermedio de distintas actividades de producción, los hombres generan una gran diversidad de bienes y servicios de distinto origen, que van a servir para satisfacer esas necesidades. Dentro de la amplia gama de actividades productivas, a nosotros nos interesan especialmente, las agropecuarias y forestales, que son la base del campo de estudio y desarrollo profesional de los Ingenieros Agrónomos y Forestales.
