Cette communication présente les objectifs et le cadre conceptuel du programme de recherche international LM-ados, portant sur la littératie médiatique des adolescents en classe de troisième secondaire en Belgique francophone, en France, au Québec et en Suisse romande. Le projet s’inscrit dans des contextes disciplinaires, théoriques et épistémologiques variés : en sciences de l'information et de la communication, la notion de littératie médiatique est abordée comme agir compétent dans l'environnement médiatique contemporain; la didactique des langues développe la notion de littératie médiatique multimodale en contexte numérique; et enfin, les sciences du langage s’intéressent à la notion de littératie médiatique comme interface possible entre littératie papier et littératie numérique. En dépassant les limites de la littératie numérique, ces approches convergent pour saisir les compétences mobilisées par les élèves au cours d’énonciations éditoriales en activités numériques à visée informationnelle, centrées sur la production d’un article numérique multimodal informatif. Cette communication expose les méthodes de collecte et d'analyse du programme afin d’expliquer comment sont intégrés les aspects textuels, discursifs et multimodaux à une réflexion sur ce qui pourrait constituer une démarche critique des élèves dans leurs productions. En conclusion, elle ouvre des perspectives sur les résultats présentés dans deux autres communications au symposium.
