Abstract
RESUMO: A crescente demanda por energia, o aumento do custo de produção dos combustíveis fósseis e mais recentemente a preocupação ambiental no concernente à emissão de poluentes estão abrindo espaço para as chamadas fontes energéticas renováveis, dentre às quais recentemente vem se destacando a energia eólica.Seu potencial de desenvolvimento no Brasil é elevado e seu menor risco ambiental faz com que possua melhor aceitação pela sociedade, no entanto como toda fonte geradora de energia, causa impactos ambientais e este é principal ponto de discussão do presente trabalho.
