Abstract
Le débat interprofessionnel autour de la loi « Dadvsi », transposant la directive européenne de 2001 sur le droit d’auteur et les droits voisins dans la société de l’information, a souligné la place croissante des questions de propriété intellectuelle dans le monde des bibliothèques. Structurée sous le double angle du droit comparé et de la bibliothéconomie, l’étude de la situation en France et au Canada, à partir de l’exemple de la collection numérique de Bibliothèques et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ), présente l’environnement institutionnel et juridique de la numérisation des œuvres protégées. Les bibliothécaires, investis dans le développement d’une collection numérique, trouveront dans l’ouvrage de Lionel Maurel de nombreuses pistes de réflexion et des propositions concrètes. Un ouvrage enrichi par un glossaire des termes juridiques ainsi que des encadrés sur les règles du droit d’auteur classique. Lionel Maurel, conservateur, est actuellement en poste à la Bibliothèque nationale de France.
